Join us for a discussion with respected political analyst and author Phyllis Bennis. Her new book, Understanding Palestine and Israel, answers important questions including perspectives often missing from corporate media: history that shaped the area, events leading up to the current crisis and how this has affected international law, human rights, the recent American elections, and the erosion of democracy.
Tickets are free, but please register to reserve a seat.
Phyllis Bennis is a fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies where she co-directs the New Internationalism Project. She has written numerous books on Palestine, foreign policy, and the UN. She serves as an international advisor to Jewish Voice for Peace, and has been shortlisted twice to become the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
