Join us for a discussion with Phyllis Bennis, activist, political analyst, and author of the recently published Understanding Palestine and Israel. Rami Khouri, Palestinian-American academic and journalist with over 50 years of experience reporting in the Middle East, will serve as moderator.

As the war in Gaza continues amidst a fragile ceasefire agreement, the struggle and call for justice in Palestine persists with many searching for truth and clarity. In Understanding Palestine and Israel, with a foreword by Palestinian analyst Omar Baddar, Phyllis Bennis answers key questions regarding the history and the current situation of the war between Israel and Palestine, addressing events prior to October 7, 2023, through Israel’s genocidal war and the aftermath of Donald Trump’s 2024 re-election.

From freedom of speech, the 2024 election, to your tax dollars, Bennis and Khouri will unpack historical perspectives, their experiences, and the impact the Palestine-Israel conflict has on Americans and the world today.

The event will conclude with a book signing. Books will be available for purchase ($20) and are currently available to preorder through the registration link
