Palestine 36: Palestine Film Series

Thu June 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Palestine 36 is an internationally acclaimed 2025 historical drama and epic written and directed by Annemarie Jacir. The film interweaves fictional narratives with archival footage and historical recreation to tell its story. It centers on the character Yusuf, who navigates between his quiet rural village and the fraught, bustling environment of Jerusalem. As the British Empire tightens its grip and tensions surrounding European Jewish immigration escalate, everyday Palestinians are forced to decide whether to live under an unjust system or rise up in revolt.

The film will be screened in the Parish Hall of St. James Place, a modern condo/ office building which is located next to St. James Episcopal Church.   If you have not been to the location before, please print out these directions before you go!
