MAPA holds many of our events in the Parish Hall of St. James Place, at 1991 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge 02140. It’s the same building in which our office is located.
St. James Place is a modern condo/ office building next to the historic stone church, St. James Episcopal. The Parish Hall is the auditorium within St. James Place. Pass the church on Mass. Ave., enter the courtyard, and enter the door labeled 1991 on the left. Call the office number, 617-354-2169, or a staff member’s cell phone and we will meet you at the front door.
The St. James Place building has an additional entrance on Beech St., which is also labeled 1991.
St. James Place is three blocks north of Porter Square. It’s also walkable from Davis.
By car, there are parking meters on Mass. Ave., which must be fed from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday. Maximum time is 2 hours which costs you $2.50 in quarters or by app. To park for 4 hours, put in 10 quarters, note the zone number and time, and pay by app after 2 hours.
By bike, there are racks in the church courtyard.
We often hold our public events in St. James Place’s Parish Hall which is the large room in St. James Place that faces the courtyard.
