Massachusetts Peace Action does much of its work through several working groups.

Working groups are volunteer-driven.  They had typically met monthly but many have started to meet more frequently during social distancing.  All are currently meeting by Zoom.

Nuclear Disarmament

Sundays, once a month, late afternoon (5pm).


Middle East (covers US endless wars including Iran, Iraq and Syria, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, and Afghanistan):

The Raytheon Antiwar Campaign is a coalition which focuses on Yemen and Raytheon’s role in perpetuating that war.


Latin America / Caribbean


Fund Healthcare, Not Warfare

Second Thursday of the month, usually 12 noon.

Climate and Peace

This group meets once a month on a weekday evening.

Racial Justice/Decolonization

Once a month, currently the second Tuesday at 2:30 pm.


No New Cold War and JFK Peace Speech Committee

Ukraine Emergency Committee

New England Korea Peace Campaign.   A coalition in which MAPA participates, it meets the first Saturday of the month, usually at 9am.

Organizational Support

Legislative/ Political: Third Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm.   Composed of representatives of each of Massachusetts’ nine Congressional districts; others welcome.
