60,000 Massachusetts Voters Say “No Preference”

On March 5, our No Preference MA campaign not only met but exceeded our expectations in ways we couldn’t have imagined. We achieved an extraordinary number of “No Preference” votes that speaks volumes about our collective power and determination.

Drawing inspiration from Michigan’s effortsNo Preference MA rapidly evolved into a coalition of organizations such as Somerville for Palestine, Cape Cod DSA, Massachusetts Healthcare Workers for Palestine, Massachusetts Peace Action, Massachusetts Muslims for Justice, Progressive Democrats of America, Interfaith Ceasefire, Arlington for Palestine, Vote No Preference MA, Vote Ceasefire MA, Boston Shai House, Medford for Palestine, Southeastern Massachusetts Coalition for a Free Palestine, and Healthcare Workers for Palestine – New England.

We all swiftly came together in just a few days before the primary with a clear goal: for Massachusetts voters to send a message to President Biden that we reject U.S. funding of genocide in Gaza.

We set out with a goal of 10,000 votes for No Preference, and I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve surpassed this goal by nearly 600%! In fact, at least 8 cities showed substantial support for No Preference by more than 15%, with two cities even surpassing 20%! This remarkable achievement, accomplished in just 5 days with a budget of $6,000, is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our coalition organizers, volunteers, and supporters.

Massachusetts, this victory belongs to you. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to making your voices heard have made this moment possible. Together, thousands of Massachusetts voters came together to say that enough is enough – we say NO to genocide, and we demand a ceasefire now.

However, our work is far from over. To continue our efforts in building the peace movement, we need your ongoing support. Currently, we are seeking additional funds to cover remaining campaign expenses and sustain our momentum.

Your continued generosity not only helps us maintain momentum and amplify the success we’ve achieved together but also plays a crucial role in our ongoing advocacy efforts to foster a strong, inclusive multiracial, multi-faith, multi-generational, anti-war movement throughout Massachusetts. If you are in a position to contribute, we kindly ask for your support by donating below.

Thank you all once again for your hard work and dedication. We couldn’t have achieved these incredible results without your support. Let’s continue moving forward, building momentum as we work towards a more just and peaceful world for all.
