Hiroshima Day Commemoration

Continuing our tradition of commemorating the dropping of two atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we will gather for a community reading of Thomas Merton’s meditation “Original Child Bomb,” after which there’ll be a period of personal reflections. We’ll then proceed to the Charles River to float origami cranes with our hopes for universal justice and enduring peace.
We start the reading at 6:00pm, proceeding to the river at 7:00pm. Please share this invitation and witness for a future free from the curse of nuclear weapons. For more information and how to join using ZOOM, contact John Bach at bolder@fmcquaker.org. or (970) 209-8346
