“Ending the War on Iran” with Behrooz Ghamari and Jamal Abdi

Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund, the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), and the Community Alliance for Peace and Justice (CAPJ) invite you to a timely and critical briefing on the Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the evolving landscape of U.S.–Iran relations.
The Iran MOU and ongoing diplomatic talks represent a significant—yet often confusing—shift in U.S.–Iran diplomacy. To help unpack these developments, we are joined by Dr. Behrooz Ghamari-Tabrizi, a leading scholar of post-revolutionary Iran and U.S.–Iran relations, and Jamal Abdi, President of the National Iranian American Council.
Together, they will place the current moment in historical context while examining the geopolitical, cultural, and domestic forces shaping relations between the United States and Iran. The discussion will also explore the role of Congress, the impact of repeated ceasefire breakdowns, the assassination of negotiators, and ongoing regional tensions involving Israel. Is a diplomatic breakthrough still possible? What role can the U.S. anti-war movement play in advancing peace?
