About Massachusetts Peace Action:

We struggle for peace at home and abroad. We see that the racism that fuels injustice at home is integral to the justification of wars abroad and that bombs and bullets are not the only threat to peace. White supremacy,  predatory capitalism, and militarism work together to maintain violence. Racism is a tool used to dehumanize Black and Brown people in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Asia  and to justify endless war and oppression. Economic and military interventions keep a few people and a few countries rich and most people and countries  poor, while destroying the planet. In today’s rising climate justice movement, ending war is an urgent necessity. Peace is a bridge between movements for social change, a common foundation that connects movements that resist violence and oppression of all kinds.

Join us as we build the peace movement as a vehicle for driving holistic social change in our world.  MAPA is the largest grassroots peace organization in Massachusetts, with approximately 1,800 members and 15,000 online supporters.  We work for peace and justice at home and abroad through grassroots organizing, educational programs, elections, and legislative advocacy.

We are hiring a part-time Development and Fundraising specialist to help us tell our story to donors as we strive to end and prevent wars, abolish nuclear weapons, challenge the military-industrial complex and advocate for a redistribution of resources from military spending to human needs to create a more just and equitable society.  We are a collaborative workplace and welcome your experience and ideas.
