Political Repression, Then and Now

Historians for Peace and Democracy and Convergence Magazine are pleased to present “Political Repression, Then and Now,” live on YouTube at 3 pm Eastern on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The webinar will discuss the history of political repression in the United States. The speakers will draw on their research and experiences to explore topics such as Jim Crow’s repression against Black people, attacks on civil liberties, FBI surveillance, and the various Red Scares, linking these past examples to current attacks on social movements and civil rights.
