"The Surge to Nowhere"
Resources for Debunking Media Myths about Iraq

Every day the anti war movement is challenged to counter the Bush Administration's spin on developments in Iraq. One year ago, we gathered in communities across the country - and across Massachusetts - to protest the “surge” ...and it turns out we were right again! War still isn't working and the "surge" is a misundertood failure for the Iraqi and U.S. people...

United for Peace & Justice has a new leaflet, in both English and Spanish, entitled: “Bush's Iraq Surge: 'Mission Accomplished' This Time?
You can down load the flyer from their website at: http://www.unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=3843

As the leaflet says, "The surge is a success in only one way. It has shifted debate in the U.S. away from its pre-surge focus on how big a disaster the whole Iraq war is."

(War Times/Tiempo de Guerras helped produce the UFPJ handout and has also produced resources debunking "the surge": http://www.war-times.org )
