I.
A LAMENT
(Haiku in three verses)
Always the challenge:
In such sad and troubled times,
How to speak the Truth?
Chaos all around –
Gaza Strip has hostages,
Blinken to send Aid.
Look at History.
Does it have to be this way?
Try alternatives!

II.
HEEDS NOT THE WARNINGS
(Haiku in three Verses)
Ides of October –
Biden won’t hear the outcry
From much of the world.
Ignores calls for Peace.
He chooses an illusion –
Maintain World Order
Only hears Austin,
And industrial complex.
Cannot see our tears.

III.
IMAGES OF WAR
(Haiku in three Verses)
Send the downtrodden.
Right now: Send them all away,
Maybe to Egypt.
By car or by foot,
With or without any shoes –
Laden with their tears.
Through the City streets,
Comforting their little ones,
Bristling with anger.
