SUMMARY:Read and Resist Fest
DESCRIPTION:Interlink Foundation presents the third annual Read + Resist Fest\, co-hosted by Interlink Publishing\, a Palestinian-owned book publisher in Northampton\, on Saturday\, October 3rd\, from 10am to 4pm at 46 Crosby Street\, Northampton\, MA.  This outdoor social justice festival will include a book sale\, QTBIPOC vendors\, children’s activities\, teach-ins\, workshops\, screen printing\, performances\, music\, food and more. DESCRIPTION:Paul Shannon and Vickie Rothbaum invite you to a cookout/social and fundraising event to benefit Mass Peace Action (MAPA). \nJoin us on Sunday\, October 4\, from 2pm to 4pm for our backyard cookout in Somerville!    (This event was rescheduled from Sept 13 due to rain) \nA seven-minute walk from the Porter Square red line station. On-street parking on a Sunday without permit.) \nThere will be lots of hamburgers\, hot dogs and veggie burgers in addition to vegetarian and vegan options\, simple desserts\, beer\, wine and soft drinks. \nHear about Mass Peace Action’s work to end the wars in Gaza\, Iran and Ukraine and stop Trump’s present all out economic and political siege of Cuba. Under these dire circumstances in which we live\, discuss how we can unite our efforts for peace with ecology and social and economic justice. \nMeet our current group of young organizers and hear why they decided to connect with MAPA. And our Executive Director\, Brian Garvey\, will inform us about MAPA’s work in helping to organize “big\, beautiful” weekly protests against I.C.E. and lay out MAPA’s exciting program for the Fall. \nAnd just have a good time connecting with your activist friends and colleagues. \nSign up and we will get back to you with the address for the party.
