Who’s Delaying Climate Action in MA?

Mon June 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

Who's Delaying Climate Action in MA

Earlier this year, Brown University released a bombshell report about the toll of behind-the-scenes lobbying against climate action in Massachusetts.

We are thrilled to welcome researchers Trevor Culhane, Galen Hall, and J Timmons Roberts, as well as Massachusetts state Rep. Mike Connolly to discuss “Who’s Delaying Climate Action in MA?” and what we can do to win.

We’ll learn how behind-the-scenes lobbying keeps strong climate legislation, supported by a 90% majority of testimony, from emerging out of committee to receive its day in the sun on the State House floor.

Report co-authors Trevor Cuhane, Galen Hall, and J. Timmons Roberts will share their findings, and we’ll hear from MA Representative Mike Connolly about what it’s like to legislate among the lobbyists. Then it will be time for action, with topical breakout discussions to strategize about how to change this situation.

350 Mass will send you an email with the Zoom link to the webinar on the day of, be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see this email.

Event hosted by 350 Massachusetts, with Act On Mass, Elders Climate Action, 350 Central Mass, MCAN, Mothers Out Front, Newton EV Task Force, Sunrise Boston, Swampscott Democrats, UU Mass Action
