Notice: Due to a surge in COVID-19 infections in the United Kingdom, the Stop the Wars Coalition were forced to cancel their London rally. As a result we will change our rally in Boston to a standout at South Station. Masks will be required as well as physical distancing.
Despite the ongoing war in Yemen, now in its 5th year, the US and UK governments continue to sell offensive weapons to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates alongside various other military and diplomatic forms of assistance. Our Massachusetts company, Raytheon, is making a killing from the war. It sells billions worth of weapons to the Saudis and UAE. It trains the Saudi military. And its “former” officials in the U.S. government develop U.S. policy on Yemen. Now it’s making bombs in Saudi Arabia itself.
The conflict in Yemen has cost an estimated 100,000 lives, led to 80 per-cent of Yemenis needing humanitarian assistance and over three million people being displaced from their homes. Join us on September 20th to demand an end our support for this most brutal of wars.
