Reiner Braun, formerly the Executive Director of the International Peace Bureau is just returned from an international conference held in Shanghai about changing geopolitics and policies to follow.
Until recently, Reiner Braun was the General Secretary of the International Peace Bureau, based in Berlin. He has decades of experience in the German and European peace movements, was deeply involved the Max Plank Institute’s planning for the Einstein Year, and has been a leading figure in promotion of Common Security diplomacy.
In early September Reiner participated in an international conference in Shanghai, organized by the Chungui Institute for Development and Strategic Studies and the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung titled “Socialist Perspectives on International Relations and Security Policies in a Historic Shift towards Multi-Polar World,” Following the conference, Reiner met with a number of Chinese foreign policy analysists.
In this debriefing webinar, Reiner what he learned about Chinese and other’s perspectives on the tectonic geopolitical changes that are underway and their implications for peace, justice, and climate advocates.
