Questioning War and Searching for Peace – How to Get Peace in Ukraine

On Monday Feb 5th Milton for Peace and the Amnesty International Club from Milton High School co-sponsored by Courageous Conversations Toward Racial Justice will present a speakers’ forum How to Get Peace in Ukraine beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Milton Public Library about the Ukraine/Russia war. Speakers Paul Shannon, Joseph Gerson, and George Beebe will present their different viewpoints.

George Beebe, spent more than two decades in government as an intelligence analyst, diplomat, and policy advisor, and as a staff advisor on Russia matters to Vice President Dick Cheney. He is currently with the think tank Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.

Paul Shannon is a board member with Mass Peace Action (MAPA) and is chair of their Middle East working group. He is a teacher, writer and organizer. He is currently working on his second book on Noam Chomsky.

Joseph Gerson is the Executive Director of the Campaign for Peace Disarmament and Common Security (CPDCS) and the Vice-President of the International Peace Bureau.
