This War must end and it must end now. A ceasefire and negotiations are the only solution.

Rallies in Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Ipswich, Falmouth, and Northampton on Friday, February 24, anniversary of the start of the war, and in Greenfield on Feb. 25.

We are heading toward a war between the U.S. and Russia, as U.S. intelligence and military personnel are heavily involved in directing the Ukraine military effort. Billions of dollars of U.S. money is the only thing keeping the Ukraine government afloat as billions more of our deadly weapons pour into the country. Each day’s developments lessen the possibility of avoiding a catastrophic war between two countries armed with thousands of nuclear weapons — exactly what more sane leaders in Washington have tried to avoid for 60 years. The cavalier attitude of Washington and the mainstream media toward the possibility of nuclear war is frightening. Is it a 10% chance? Is it an 80% chance? NO ONE KNOWS!!

Join us on the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the 9th year of Ukraine’s civil war in the Donbass. We will demand that our government stop opposing negotiations and do all that it can to support talks between Ukraine and Russia, and also between the U.S. and Russia over NATO’s 25 year expansion eastward toward the Russian border.

Is the war caused by an unprovoked Russian invasion designed to create a Russian empire? Or is it caused by an unprovoked expansion of NATO to Russia’s border, a 2014 Ukrainian attack on its Russian population, and a 2021 U.S. military alliance with Ukraine?  We can continue to debate these questions. Right now we need the different sides to agree to a ceasefire and start a serious negotiating process despite the huge gaps that exists between the demands of Russia, Ukraine and NATO.
