Hearing on a Moratorium on Prison Construction

By pressing pause on prison and jail construction we’ll stop the proposal to build a new $50 million women’s prison from being built, and give the Commonwealth time to implement real justice practices that benefit all incarcerated people and their communities instead.    Read about the bill and why we need it.

S.2030 is being heard in committee on Tuesday July 20th, 10:30am-1:30pm, and we are looking for as many people and organizations as possible to speak in support of the moratorium.  Unfortunately you had to sign up by Friday the 16th to testify at the hearing.
