The International Court of Justice has ruled against Israel and declared that there is a plausible case that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. This is not just a damning ruling for Israel, but for the United States as well. Under Article 1 of the Genocide Convention, the United States government must take deliberate action in preventing genocide. Instead the U.S. provides strong support to that genocide by providing Israel with billions in weapons from Raytheon and other Merchants of Death like Lockheed and Boeing.

First step: A ceasefire in Gaza; release of hostages; and massive humanitarian aid to keep the people still living in Gaza alive.

Senator Warren just voted to send more weapons to Israel to kill Palestinians. We need her to reverse course, call for an arms embargo on Israel and for a permanent ceasefire, release of hostages, massive humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, and end to Israeli murders in the West Bank! No new weapons for the assault on Gaza.

Join us to demand a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to all U.S. weapons and war assistance of all kinds to Israel.

We will be in Harvard Square on Friday to demand a ceasefire in Israel’s war on Gaza and to call attention to the fact that Raytheon arms play a key role in that massacre. As the home to so many Raytheon plants and facilities those of us in Massachusetts have a special responsibility to stop these massive war crimes Israel is committing against Gaza with our support.

According to research done by the American Friends Service Committee Raytheon provides the Israeli government with a wide variety of weapons including various missiles and bombs. Raytheon equipment is also integrated into Raytheon’s main weapons systems such as the engines, missiles, sensor and navigation systems for Israel’s F-35 fighter jets as well as engines, radars and maintenance services for Israel’s F-16 fighter bombers. The Raytheon anti-war campaign has begun new phase of our work. We hope to use Raytheon’s extensive links to the war in Gaza and the use of its weapons to maintain Israel’s apartheid system to raise awareness of this ongoing crisis and to end our government’s provision of Raytheon and other companies’ weapons to Israel used to inflict mass murder on Palestinians. In addition to this rally, Please Join Us on Saturday, February 24 for another public rally in Downtown Crossing in Boston. We will demand a ceasefire, not only in Gaza, but also in Ukraine. February 24 is the second anniversary of the Ukraine war and the 140th day of Israel’s deadly attack on the people of Gaza. It is long past time for a ceasefire and negotiations for both of these terrible wars.
