Backyard Cookout, Social and Fundraiser for MAPA

Paul and Vickie invite you to their fundraising social event to benefit Mass. Peace Action (MAPA).

Join us on Sunday September 22 from 4pm to 6pm for a backyard cookout in Somerville

(with vegan option.  Rain date will be a brunch on October 27)

• Learn more about Mass. Peace Action’s efforts to terminate the ongoing slaughter in Gaza, promote a ceasefire and negotiations in Ukraine, reconcile with Cuba, China and Iran, cut the ever-growing Pentagon budget, challenge Raytheon’s profits from its war production of nuclear weapons and for the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, and face the twin existential threats of climate change and nuclear weapons.
• Hear from MAPA’s interns and young members about its successes at bringing young people into the peace movement.
• Meet MAPA’s new executive director, Brian Garvey, as we advance younger leadership, and welcome Cole Harrison into his new role at MAPA
• And just have a good time hanging out with interesting people.
