No war at home: End the use of military force against protestors

June 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

No war at home skillshare

It’s past time for Congress to take meaningful action on police reform. Just one of the many things that need to be done now is is to stop the program that allows the U.S. military to sell outdated equipment to local law enforcement agencies — called the 1033 program. Militarized policing particularly affects black and immigrant populations, and we continue to see evidence of this in the wake of the murder of George Floyd.

Join Massachusetts Peace Action, Friends Committee on National Legislation, and Beacon Hill Friends House in this free, lunch skillshare to urge Congress to take action, and learn the skill of how to keep the pressure on Congress after your initial lobbying.
