Two Minutes to Midnight: How do we move from Geopolitical Conflict to Nuclear Abolition?
May 12, 2018
International Peace and Nuclear Disarmament Conference
Judson Church – 239 Thompson St (at corner with Washington Square South)
Two Minutes to Midnight– May 12, New York City
Featuring Noam Chomsky, Christie Hong, Daniel Ellsberg, Sergio Duarte, Zia Mian, with the full complement of U.S. and international speakers being developed. Pre-registration will be necessary.
On the eve of the U.N. High Level Conference on Nuclear Disarmament, leading peace movement figures and analysts from the United States, Europe and Asia will meet to analyze and challenge the growing dangers of Great Power and nuclear war, and disarmament initiatives from the Ban Treaty to reversing the arms race, divestment and civil disobedience.
At this time of multiple crises, we are bringing together among the world’s most thoughtful and experienced foreign, military and nuclear policy analysts to discuss increasingly dangerous great power tensions, background and diplomatic options to the Trump-Korea crisis – with Iran on its way, the state of the nuclear arms races, and paths to greater peace and nuclear disarmament.
PREREGISTRATION is required, as Judson’s sanctuary holds only 250 people. So, if you want to join us, please register at tinyurl.com/nuclear-abolition as soon as possible.
