Hiroshima-Nagasaki Week 2019

This year’s Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Memorial will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2019. It will be our 3rd year, and will be held at Sacred Heart Parish in Newton Centre, MA. The service starts @ 7:30pm.

The program will feature: music, dance, theatre, visual arts, as well as Message of Peace from Hiroshima and Nagasaki and Paper Lantern Ceremony of Peace. This year’s theme is “IMAGINE PEACE.” Highlights include: the New “Imagine” by Sarah Infini Takagi, world music improv on peace, love and compassion feat. all of our performers!

There are two church parking: one next to the sanctuary building on Centre St, and the other is on Crescent Ave, around the corner from the church office building. There is also a city municipal parking in the center of the roundabout in the middle of Newton Centre.

Public Transportation is near-by, also. Newton Centre stop on Green Line (D-Line), and a short walk from there.

There are many great restaurants & shops around for you to stop by before / after the event!
