Film Screening: National Bird

February 25, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Please join us on Sunday, February 25 at 2:00 PM in the Watertown Savings Bank Room at the Watertown Free Public Library, 123 Main Streets, for the showing of NATIONAL BIRD.

Why is our government killing thousands of people around the globe they can’t even identify? See NATIONAL BIRD, a film directed by Sonia Kennebeck about the secret US drone assassination program. Plagued by PTSD and guilt over participating in the killing of thousands of faceless people, including children, three whistleblowers courageously decide to speak out publicly, despite possible severe consequences. The film also interviews people on the ground in Afghanistan whose families have been shattered by the deaths and injuries to loved ones from terrorizing drones.

After the film there will be a short discussion with suggestions of things we can do to stop this immoral and indefensible form of warfare.

For more information contact or or call (781)664-3525 or (617)776-6524.

Sponsored by Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice & the Environment and Eastern Massachusetts Anti-Drones Network, a task force of United for Justice with Peace (UJP). Co-sponsored by the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom and supported by Survival Education Fund, Inc.
