Michael Dukakis: Subways or Submarines? Changing our Nation’s Priorities from Endless War to Prosperity

Kicking off Massachusetts Peace Action’s Distinguished Peacebuilders Series is the honorable Michael Dukakis! Come hear his talk, “Subways or Submarines? Changing our Nation’s Priorities from Endless War to Prosperity”.
Michael Dukakis was governor of Massachusetts from 1975 to 1979 and 1983 to 1991. He was the Democratic nominee for President in 1988 and is currently a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University and UCLA. He is the author of How to Get into Politics and Why, with U.S. Senator Paul Simon. He served on the Amtrak board of governors and is a well-known advocate for effective public transportation and high-speed rail.
Tax Day 2016 is an important opportunity for Americans to reflect on our nation’s budget priorities. This event is part of the Global Days of Action Against Military Spending.
