Antiwar Across the Political Spectrum, with Scott Horton

Fri July 30 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Friday, July 30th @ 4:00pm EDT

The peace movement has been talking about the bipartisan consensus on foreign policy for years. The establishment of both the Democratic and Republican parties has overseen expanding US militarism and ballooning Pentagon budgets for decades. But antiwar sentiment and a desire for peace also crosses party lines. More and more Americans are becoming frustrated with the same policies in Washington DC. This Friday, we’ll be talking to Scott Horton from Antiwar.com, a site, “devoted to the cause of non-interventionism… by libertarians, pacifists, leftists, “greens,” and independents alike, as well as many on the Right who agree with our opposition to imperialism.” We’ll discuss how antiwar activists from all political persuasions can stand together to make change.

Scott Horton is director of the Libertarian Institute, editorial director of Antiwar.com, host of Antiwar Radio on Pacifica, 90.7 FM KPFK in Los Angeles, California and podcasts the Scott Horton Show from ScottHorton.org. He’s the author of the 2021 book Enough Already: Time to End the War on Terrorism, the 2017 book, Fool’s Errand:Time to End the War in Afghanistan and editor of the 2019 book The Great Ron Paul: The Scott Horton Show Interviews 2004–2019. He’s conducted more than 5,500 interviews since 2003.
