World Water Day is fast approaching. The Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine is marking the occasion with 2 events:

A Forum on the Threat to Indigenous Water Resources’

Place: encuentro 5 (9 A Hamilton Place – near the Orpheum Theater across from Park Street Station)
Nidal al Azraq
A Palestinian refugee from the Aida Refugee camp who is now Executive Director of 1for3.org, a US-based organization focused on water, health and environmental work in West Bank refugee camps;
The Executive Director of Grassroots International which partners with communities building power to protect their rights to land, food and water;
Dorotea Manuela, Coordinator of the Color of Water Project (Boston)
Co-leader of United American Indians of New England (UAINE) and the lead organizer for Indigenous Peoples Day Massachusetts;
Mark Kenneth Tilsen
An Ogala Lakota poet and educator from Porcupine, South Dakota who served as a non-violent direct action trainer and police liaison at Standing Rock.
The forum will be preceded by a Stand Out for Water Justice at Downtown Crossing from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
