The Organizing Committee for the Day of Solidarity with the People of Puerto Rico extends an invitation to you/your organization to join us in commemoration and celebration of Puerto Rican Resistance.  2019 marks the anniversaries of several important events in the history of Puerto Rico including:

  • 100th birthday of Lolita Lebrón
  • 2nd anniversary of the devastating Hurricane Maria
  • 151th anniversary of El Grito de Lares (Puerto Rican uprising against the Spanish Conquistadores)
  • Anniversaries of the release of several political prisoners from usna and Puerto Rico

In the tradition of celebrating our culture and heritage, we embrace this moment and call upon groups and individuals who are in solidarity with the People of Puerto Rico and their struggle for liberation, to Sponsor the Day of Solidarity and participate in one or more upcoming events. If there is one thing we know describes the will of the Puerto Rican People, it is the resilience, with which we have confronted adversity throughout our history.  We honor those who sacrificed their lives and freedom in the struggle for liberation of Puerto Rico.  We stand firm in our convictions and love for Puerto Rico.  Estamos De Pie!
