A Conversation on Saudi Arabia’s Politics and Foreign Policy

June 5, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

King Salman chats with President Trump during the Saudi reception for the President, May 20, 2017

Join Raheem Albokhari and MAPA’s Middle East Working Group as we discuss Saudi Arabia’s politics, foreign policy, and the Saudi roots of its alliance with the U.S., including the implications of President Trump’s recent visit.

Albokhari received a B.A. in Political Science from Emmanuel College in May 2017.  A native of Saudi Arabia, he was a MAPA intern in Spring 2017, supporting the Middle East Working Group, particularly in development of its series of fact sheets on Middle East issue.

The Tower Room is on the ground floor of the church, closest to the corner of Garden and Mason Streets.  Entering the church near the office, go partway down the hall and enter the door marked for the Sanctuary.  Cross the sanctuary to the front, nearest Garden St.   The Tower Room is off the sanctuary.

At 8:00, we will join a national briefing call on “Urgent Yemen Briefing and Action Steps: Stop the Saudi Arms Sales” sponsored by national Peace Action and other groups. Speakers will include Kate Kizer, Director of Policy & Advocacy, The Yemen Peace Project, and Kate Gould, Legislative Representative for Middle East Policy, Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL).
