Music for Peace – May 7 April 19th, 2011

Join us Saturday, May 7, 7:00 p.m., at a private home on Frances Avenue in Cambridge for a Music for Peace concert and reception to benefit Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund!


Benjamin Warsaw, piano, and Elissa Alvarez, soprano, will perform works by Brahms, Fauré, Mompou, Rachmaninoff and Warsaw.

Wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be served at a reception after the concert.

Table to Fund our Communities, Not War! April 8th, 2011


It’s tax season, and Mass. Peace Action members are getting out on the streets!

We will be setting up literature tables at busy corners or in front of post offices at the following times:

a) Thurs, 4/14, Belmont Center – 3:30-5:30pm (postponed from Wed due to weather)
b) Sat, 4/16, Coolidge Corner, Brookline – noon to 2pm
c) Mon, 4/18, Davis Square, Somerville – 2 to 4pm

Please email info@masspeaceaction.org or call the office at 617-354-2169 back if you can join us for any of these, or to suggest other times. We’ll bring the table, brochures, flyers, signs, buttons, and petitions!

Statewide Week of Action April 12-18
Massachusetts Peace Action is joining with the Eastern Massachusetts Campaign to Fund Our Communities – Cut Military Spending 25% and American Friends Service Committee to stage a Massachusetts-wide week of action April 12-18.   We will be using the week to make our campaign visible.
 

ORGANIZING: April 12-18 is a great opportunity to start or strengthen a local 25% group for this crucial ongoing campaign!  It only takes two or three people in a community to get started.
