We plan to put an ad on MBTA subway cars and buses this spring calling for no war with Iran. 210,000 people ride the Red line every day, and 154,400 ride the Orange line. The draft design is below.

The ad will ask people to sign the online petition at no-war-with-iran.com.

Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund Board January 8th, 2009
Rosale Anders Rosalie Anders is the Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund (MAPA EF)’s Treasurer. She works as an Associate Planner with the City of Cambridge’s Community Development department and is author of the city’s Pedestrian Plan, a set of guidelines intended to promote walking in the city. She has an MA in social work and worked as a family therapist for many years. She organizes around peace and environmental issues in her spare time.
Christie Dennis is chair of MAPA EF’s Board. She is an independent social worker.
Shelagh Foreman Shelagh Foreman, MAPA’s Program Director, was a founding member of Mass Freeze, the statewide nuclear freeze organization, which merged with SANE to form Massachusetts Peace Action. She has worked consistently on nuclear disarmament and focused on bringing Peace Action’s message to our elected officials. She studied art at The Cooper Union and Columbia University, taught art and art history, and is a painter and print maker. She represents MAPA on the Political Committee of Mass Alliance and is a core group member of 20/20 Action. She and her husband Ed have 5 children and 7 grandchildren, live in Cambridge and spend time in Falmouth.
Gary Goldstein Gary Goldstein is Professor of Physics at Tufts University.  He is an expert in spin-polarization phenomena in particle physics. Goldstein is a longtime opponent of nuclear weapons, a well-known critic of missile defense programs, and an antiwar organizer.
Eva Moseley Eva (Steiner) Moseley was born in Vienna; she and her family arrived in New York as refugees in 1939. Educated at Bronx H.S. of Science, Mount Holyoke College (B.A. in philosophy) and Radcliffe College (A.M. in Sanskrit and Indian Studies), after a peripatetic marriage she was curator of manuscripts at Radcliffe’s Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America for 28 years, during which she was president of New England Archivists and on the Council of the Society of American Archivists. She cut her political teeth in Henry Wallace’s presidential campaign (1948), worked for a nuclear test ban with Women Strike for Peace in the early 1960s, joined the nuclear freeze movement in 1982, and has worked for peace ever since. In 2007 she visited Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron with the Cambridge-Bethlehem People-to-People Committee. She has two children and three granddaughters.
Ken Thomson Dr. Ken Thomson is director of the Center for Strong Democracy, and a founding member and resident of Cornerstone Village Cohousing in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  He has worked to increase the role of citizens in government policymaking for more than 35 years, including 5 years as staff for Citizen for Participation in Political Action, 14 years as director of citizen participation programs at the Lincoln Filene Center, Tufts University, and 7 years as managing editor of the Citizen Participation Newsmagazine.  He is the author of From Neighborhood to Nation, and coauthor of The Rebirth of Urban Democracy.  Ken has worked with the Massachusetts Eighth Congressional District Core Group of 20/20 Vision since 1988.
